Tottenham are set to offer Lamela a lucrative four-year contract at White Hart Lane as the club prepares for the departure of Gareth Bale to Real Madrid in a world record £100m deal.
Madrid's Fabio Coentrao will join Spurs as part of the transfer which will see Bale make the move to the Spanish capital.
The fee received in that deal will see Tottenham recoup the money outlaid this summer on Paulinho, Nacer Chadli, Roberto Soldado and Etienne Capoue.
