Liverpool snub £10m bid

Liverpool have rejected a bid of £10million from Napoli for defender Martin Skrtel, according to the Daily Mail.
The Reds are understood to have rejected the offer out of hand for the Slovakian international, while the Serie A giants are thought to be preparing a new bid.
Any potential move would see Skrtel reunited with former Reds boss Rafael Benitez, the man who brought the defender to thePremier League from Zenit St Petersburg in 2008.
However Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is in no mood to sell any of his central defenders having recently discovered Uruguayan centre back Sebastian Coates is set to miss six months of the season with a knee ligament injury.
It is unclear whether Skrtel would be willing to make the switch, since the defender has recently fallen down the pecking order at Anfield.
After being a first choice under the likes of Benitez, Roy Hodgson and Kenny Dalglish, the Slovakian found himself dropped in favour of the retiring Jamie Carragher for the second half of last season.
Rodgers also left him out for the season’s opener against Stoke City, opting instead for new vice-captain Daniel Agger and summer signing Kolo Toure.
Benitez is still a big fan of the 28-year-old, but knows he will have to increase his offer significantly if he is to enjoy a successful reunion with his former player.
