Former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy has praisedPhilippe Coutinho and Daniel Sturridge after their performances this weekend.
Sturridge scored the only goal of the game as the
Redsbeat Stoke City yesterday, while Coutinho also impressed.
Murphy spoke about the improvement in the two players since they joined in January.
"If we can stop talking about Luis Suarez for five minutes and focus on Sturridge and Coutinho," Murphy toldTalkSport. "Those two were fantastic.
"Sturridge seems to get better. We talk about confidence and that lad doesn't lack in that area. He shoots from anywhere and he's got skill to beat a man.
"Every time [Coutinho] got in the right position, his passes were correct, he made the right choices and could have scored a couple himself."
Liverpool's next game is a trip to Aston Villa on Saturday.
