Mignolet delighted with debut

Mignolet: Dream debutLiverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet was ecstatic after making his Premier League debut for the Reds against Stoke City at Anfield on Saturday. The Reds dominated proceedings, but scraped a 1-0 win thanks to a fantastic goal from Daniel Sturridge in the first half.
And it could have been a lot worse for the Merseysiders three minutes from time, when the Potters were awarded a penalty after Daniel Agger inexplicably handled the ball in the area.
But the Belgium international, who joined the Reds in June, endeared himself to the Anfield crowd by saving Jon Walters' effort from the spot, as well as the follow-up effort from Kenwyne Jones.
Talking to BT Sports 1 after the match, Mignolet said: "You always pick the corner to go to and today I picked the right one.
"I kept a clean sheet which is the important thing. Today it worked, I am really pleased with it.
"We didn't manage to get a second goal but we deserved to win."
